We’re an independently and veteran owned and operated agency in Elkridge, Maryland and we deliver insurance and risk management solutions to businesses. We’ve served commercial enterprises since 1989 and we are committed to excellence to our clients and our community. We’ve built our business by paying close attention to clients’ needs and by developing special, comprehensive programs that suit a wide variety of businesses. In 2003 we received the Volunteer of the Year Award given by the Maryland Association of Community Services.
Gordon Mumpower received the Governor’s Volunteer Service Certificate on July 1, 2014.
The Howard County Chamber of Commerce presented the Small Business of the Year Award to Commercial Insurance Managers on October 6, 2017.
Although Lighting the Way to Business Security is our goal, we believe that our ultimate mission is to help others in need.
We have a large number of commercial insurance offerings, including employee benefits, workers compensation, and cyber liability. Our business program provides coverage that keeps virtually any business protected in many ways, and we can adapt this program to the needs of individual enterprises.
We serve more industries than most insurance agencies, and some of these industries are minority-oriented and niche. Our founder is a veteran and he deliberately makes efforts to supply businesses in less-common lines of work with comprehensive and competitive products. Social service, non-profit, and human service organizations are among the businesses we serve. We also serve IT consultants, commercial automobile operations, and contractors.
We work with a larger number of carriers than most agencies do, and this is one reason why we can provide so many different types of insurance. We place clients who are high-hazard and who cannot be easily placed in normal markets. If you own a business and need complete coverage but cannot find it, please contact us; we can help you.
You can count on us to give you the best possible solution and to provide you with services that make purchasing insurance worthwhile.
